Claudia Christian Grateful for the Opportunity to Bring the Anne Manx Series to Life with newest installment
ELMWOOD PARK, NJ (January 13, 2023) - Anne Manx and her Dark Place, the eighth audio adventure in the series, will welcome Claudia Christian once again in the titular role. With the character of Anne Manx modeled after Christian herself, her audio drama series and later novella adaptations were bound to be a timeless smash hit 25 years ago and continues today with the newest release.
Known for her impressive acting work on “The Hidden” and “Babylon 5,” and other TV/Film projects (“9-1-1,” “Criminal Minds”) as well as voicework on popular video game franchises (“Fallout,” “World of Warcraft,” “Call of Duty”), Christian is a seasoned performer and voice actress. Yet again, she will be lending her voice to another “Lives of the Cat” adventure.
Anne Manx and her Dark Place will certainly surprise Anne Manx fans because of its change in perspective. It is bound to be a new, thrilling installment of the series in which she will battle her nemesis, Jean Richmond. Both come together in this episode to fight against a planet that kidnaps people from around the galaxy to aid in its platinum mining operations.
Christian voiced her genuine excitement about this year being the 25th Anniversary of Anne Manx, explaining, “every time I walk into the recording booth and crack open the new script, I am transported back 25 years to when I first started playing Anne and it all feels as comfortable as a good pair of slippers…I am 25 years younger and ready to become my beloved Annie.” She is grateful for the “joys” of bringing Anne Manx to life and “appreciate[s] that RRCA has continued producing these delightful tales.”
The new adaptation of Lives of the Cat is expected to be finished toward the end of the year.
